Advocacy Alliance intends to close
Increase type size:

Advocacy Alliance has announced its intention to close down following significant reductions in funding. We have provided independent advocacy support to thousands of people over the last 18 years to enable them to speak up for themselves and have their voices heard in decisions that affect their lives. We are very proud of the work we have done, but unfortunately having considered all options we recognise that we do not have the funding to continue.

The decision to intend to close follows reductions in funding and narrowly missing out on securing re-designed advocacy contracts from Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Luton Borough Councils.Advocacy Alliance is currently in the process of transferring active cases to other organisations by the end of March, coinciding with a major downsize of the organisation. In exceptional circumstances where individuals cannot find ongoing support Advocacy Alliance will aim to continue supporting them until June 2012.
